What is ::dead:beef?

::dead:beef is feed (RSS and ATOM) aggregator of blogs and news sites related to IPv6. Some people will call it "Planet IPv6".

I hope this site could be useful in IPv6 popularization process.

Why ::dead:beef?

"Dead beef" is very popular sentence in programming, because it is built only from letters a-f which are used in hexadecimal notation. Colons in the beginning and in the middle of sentence make this sentence (theoreticaly) valid IPv6 address.

In addition, the AAAA DNS record of deadbeef.pl domain resolves to 2001:470:9eb8::dead:beef.

Why .pl?

Why not? :-)

Is this site IPv6 enabled?

Yes, it is. Domain has both A and AAAA records.

How is it possible you have IPv6 address dude?

Simple, the server has 6in4 tunnel from Hurricane Electric tunnel broker. This tunnel is a little slow, but works. Maybe I'll change it to SixXS or native IPv6 when it will be possible.
